If you want another then email Trev and see if he has his floating around still, I thought this was his one but the owners said that they have owned it for numerous years, Trev was chasing 200 - 300 for his when he was trying to flog it off to me.

terry if you want a fibreglass roof I have a good contact, well the best, our fibreglass guy at work does very good work and does cashies...

this will be 5 stud alround, i have 3 full sets of wide Jap rims waiting for it here

also has a factory ELECTRIC roof

towed it home roof down, cause i can :laff:

 

roof is 18mth old and in perfect nick , also has a full cover similar to mgb style

and the roof down cover fitted in pics

ex owner paid $800 for that stuff :yes:

so today i have removed all the bump strips, tailights and rear garnish, rear bar and towbar

all boot lining and wiring in readiness for rust removal and plating and weld filling all unnessecary holes

 

 

this thing has soo much bracing and strengthening in . the rear has a 50 x 25 boxed crossbrace into the rear inner arch which are reinforced with 4mm plate

cabin side of boot floor is also reinforced with 4mm plate and 50 x 25 box section

b pillar is reinforced as well with 4mm angle which has sections going rearward to the crossbracing as well.

will post some pics soon

oh also it is now a runner, the stock 21rc is healthy as is the stock w57 with short shifter

clutch seems good too, factory fitted t series isok as well.

plan is fix , paint,rego then will start the 1jz conversion

progess

 

Thanks to Matt (Littleredspirit) for letting me use his huge awesome shed to work on this

so i have removed the towbar/rear bar which were welded together ,and are now binned

removed all bumpstrips and badging as i am welding up the holes and associated rust.

removed boot, tail lights and all rear garnishes to perform rust repairs.

boot had a lot of rust which has now been plated with new steel.

car now runs perfectly but still need to source a new fuseable link for it as the original was corroded and f*#ked

Everything except the wipers works , but i think the wiper motor has sh*t itself so will get another from the wreckers

Trying to find a rear bar atm to suit, not sure if hatch rear bar is the same .

should have all rust repairs finished by the end of the week hopefully then i will be going for

rego before theserious modification begins

 

Tossing up whether i should step up to 17 inch rims atm, rather than 15's either way i want 100mm ground clearance and full flush with tuck

I think i am going to keep it white but am not sure ye

 

will have to take some pics and post em up when and if i remember

 

It really needs a name
