Yes, an sr20det fits in a ke70 engine bay. Quite well actually. We used a high mount manifold on ours.

No, The stock k40/ k50 wouldn't work behind an sr20. The Box doesnt have removable bellhousings to fit the sr20. The box is cable clutch not hydraulic, and it wouldnt be strong enough behind an sr20 anyway. I stripped 3rd gear behind a 4k..

No, The suspension is not the same. Different racks, struts, brakes, springs, steering arms etc. Diff's are also different although you can put ae86 suspension in a corolla.

Next time i'm near the car i'll take some photo's if you'd like. But if you're serious about it you'll want $5000 minimum. And that's if you're doing it yourself.

Things like transtunnel need to be modded, hydraulic clutch setup, pedalbox, tailshaft, mounts, loom, ecu and then intercooler etc, it's a fair bit of work.

Then things like brakes, suspension and diff will need to be upgraded. We went through 3 stock ke70 diffs in 2 weeks with it, and that was on Gravel.

Upgraded it to a r31 diff and haven't looked back.

You have to be dead serious that it's what you want before you do it. If you get halfway through and decide to change your mind or can't be bothered finishing it then you've lost a lot of time and money that you wont get back.

cheers
