I can get practically nothing done in the time it takes to drink 5 beers.

But those are motivation beers.

After those I get practically nothing done even faster.

Motor and tranny out of the 82 in an hour.

Single cam to twincam conversion 33 hours.

GTR motor and box out in 3 hours.

Z32 motor and box (including front bar) out in just over 2 hours.

SW20 motor and box out in under 2 hours (had to do it in this time working at road and track).

5k and k50 out in about 45 mins and ready to go into JiP's car.

1UZ and auto out in 1 hour 10 minutes.

308 and 4 speed out in about 45 minutes.

JZA80 exhaust off in about 1.5 seconds, Hit a concrete block at 100kph and ripped the whole system off.

ke70 doors off one car fully bolted onto the other in 30mins

5k and 5speed box out of a keto in 40 mins, (on the ground in ant infested grass :( )

Front struts and whole front end out in an hour

Beers start flowing and diff changes take an extra 15mins from an hour or so, to an hour and 15 (due to time lost raising beer to mouth under car whilst undoing bolts)

30 mins to get an exhaust back on to the mid headder connection, only because I forgot there was a nut still on one of the studs :glare:

Couldn't see what I was doing because I was doing this past 9pm.

4k - 5k conversion, 1 hour. with many beer breakes.

AE82 20v conversion, 3 freaking days because I swapped out an entire AE82 electrical system to an AE92 system. (motor had an AE92 Loom already hooked up, easier than cut and shut)

AE82 clutch - 20 mins to get the motor and box out, one day to fit the god dam box back on because I had never done it before, didn't re align the shaft properly to the plate.

Call bullshit on those unless it was 3x 12 hour days and you can't get a 4a motor and box out in 20 mins unless everything else was already ripped out and you only had the motor and box left, my 1 hour included putting the car on the hoist and setting up the engine crane.

Yeah those 3 days were roughly 10 hour days.

The engine is really easy to get out of the rolla, a handfull of hoses to disconnect, exhaust manifold, another handfull of electrical cables

which just unplug (exceot for a couple of earthing cables). Throw the loom on top of the motor, while you are disconnecting everything at the same time the coolant is draining. Another 5 mins to unscrew the mounts & crossmember. The next part is somewhat of a cheat though as I take out the motor with the box and driveshafts still attached via dropping the motor rather than raising it.

At this stage I had already taken the motor in and out about 5 times, so you get to know where everything is and what needs to be done first.

Getting the motor back in is another story though.....
