B.L.Z.BUB Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 I'm assuming they will have different levels of gaskets. I'm not getting mine from there but enquired and they said they can get them in. Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted March 31, 2011 Author Report Posted March 31, 2011 Is that Acl brand from SCA any good? Quote
RainWarriorDregs Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 referring to the heat of the extractors. i sprayed mine with 600 degree celsius resistant paint, and well, and it burnt off within 20 to 30 seconds of running. heat resistant paint is a joke Quote
Evan G Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 what brand but? i got VHT white exhaust paint on my manifold, still white Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted March 31, 2011 Report Posted March 31, 2011 Is that Acl brand from SCA any good? Thats what I'm getting (though not from SCA). It better be. :laff: Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 We had a water fight nawww. :laff: Think the wheels suit it , and I might re-paint them and not sell. Maybe pick up my 5k this weekend yay! Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) Have you thought of running a pin stripe? Maybe just a single black one? Edited April 1, 2011 by blzbub666 Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 MAybe, its not a straight line tho its curved but maybe :) The corolla symbol is going under the bonnet and its going to be huge, going to paint it Red with my hands so it look like was painted with blood. Going to buy a new Brake master cylinder kit tomorrow as mine is pissing fluid by the gasket and was attempted to be patched up with silicone. :glare: Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 I tried to follow the curve but it was just a quick windows paint jobbie. I ran one down mine and it made such a difference. Easy to peel off too if it looks shyt. don't get me started with brake MC's. :bash: Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted April 1, 2011 Author Report Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) Any tips when replacing or rebuilding my MC? Anyone got this piece? Found this: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180570130813&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Edited April 1, 2011 by Spencer Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) If the brake pedal doesnt go to the floor after you put it in, stomp on the pedal. :laff: Fixed mine when I put it in. Go find a sev on the side of the road and steal that bit :glare: just held on with pop clips. (jokes) Use carby cleaner to clean leaking brake fluid. Edited April 1, 2011 by blzbub666 Quote
Scott_87 Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 Got the same problem atm, tried nicking down to sprints and bought some rubber grommits. took her for a drive last night and they all fell out was hanging on by a thread. Quote
carbonboy Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 Is that Acl brand from SCA any good? I've been using ACL gaskets with a 4KC, 2AC & 4AGE engines & have not had a problem with them. Reasonably priced, readily available & havent had a failure yet... I used VHT Extreme High Temp Silver on my 4AGE extractors, drove the car about 10,000kms with them on & the paints still looking good. don't buy the cheap stuff! The car's looking awesome dude! :y: Love the colour, the styling & those rims! Quote
RainWarriorDregs Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 yeah i bought VHT too, and it just bubbled off. my paint prep was fine too, strange, dodgy can maybe? Quote
