mhmills Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 First hold up , them bolts need Hercules to undo! :bash: Help? EASY MAN! Eat your weet-bix! Just try and stop the flywheel from moving when using a Ratchet. Hope that helps, I remember loosing knuckle skin doing it lol. Quote
xris Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 You the bloke that got rear-ended after your respray and came to TTF for a wheel alignment? Pretty sure it was you lol. Yeh mate that was me. came for a wheel balance and got two new tires lol. back to the build thread :P Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted April 15, 2011 Author Report Posted April 15, 2011 (edited) Got the flywheel off! Rattle-gun is KING! How did everyone put there engine on there stands and what bolts? I don't have any gearbox bolts lying around :bash: Edited April 15, 2011 by Spencer Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Those bolts are pretty easy. Get someone with a spanner on one to stop it spinning then chuck a socket on another slip a short bit .of pipe on the socket handle for extra leverage. Or a rattle gun. Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted April 16, 2011 Author Report Posted April 16, 2011 So Can someone please tell me the gearbox bolt size so I can go buy some tomorrow. Quote
Spencer[RL] Posted April 16, 2011 Author Report Posted April 16, 2011 Thanks evan! Can anyone confirm this ? And did everyone Mount there engines on them bolts? Quote
Evan G Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 i remember when i had to buy 2 bolts for my engine stand to mount it to my 5k. i think they were around 12/15cm long? Quote
