irokin Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Theres an AE86 in queensland (the home of rollaclub) with an SR20 conversion (or so Ive been told). Ive seen it out drift the 1000hp CAPA "Drift Ute". Goes to show, power isnt everything (eh Gaijin Doru) Quote

beerhead Posted October 3, 2005 Author Report Posted October 3, 2005 So how legal is cutting and shutting front control arms? ... sounds bad. Could the right place press in a groove and drill new hole's for the arm bushes? Quote
Super Jamie Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 So how legal is cutting and shutting front control arms? ... sounds bad. Could the right place press in a groove and drill new hole's for the arm bushes? and the ADRs came down from the mountain and didst veryily say, "thou shalt not weld a cast or forged suspension component" if you have pressed control arms (like a corolla) then i believe there would be a chance you could legaglly cut n shut them. your welds would need to be really good, or you'd need to pay someone who can weld better, and ideally you'd box across the bottom it for extra strength of course, this would need to be engineered, so call around a few engineers and find out, then let us know too :D custom bushes are fine, fook has them Quote
oli Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 well the irish guy in the levin has a sweet sr20det powered rolla. i'll get some pics of it tecnical engine bay shots to follow when I upload them..... Quote

Dan Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 I think he may be referring to the 'Donut King' stuntman Robbie Bolger (or something like that). He does the stunts in the DK cars and I think he drifts the Crewman ute... awesome bloke, seems ok from what I've seen/heard/wrote about him... Quote
