Hey guys...

I have a late model ke70 wagon and am converting the struts to coilovers.... my question is if i buy a ae86 strut insert/shock and shorten my strut tubes are these going to work for me...

I have measured so my strut tubes and the width of them is 51mm so i searched up the width of a ae86 strut and apparently thats 51mm aswell so i put to and to together and thought why will these not work...

Has any one here done this before... Thanks

Any help appreciated

There is no short stroke shock that will fit in the ke70 strut, I'm pretty sure its a 49mm diameter not 51.

Hence why everyone converts to ae86 or xt130 struts.

no its definitely a 4 door ke70 wagon with a 4k... the original owner could of possibly swapped the struts? even though it was a complete stocker when I purchased...

anyway I have added a picture just to show you guys....

Hmm I'm confused... hopefully they are ae86 strutsyes.gif but I really don't know....hmmmm.gif

Thanks for any help...

Cheers

AE71 Panelvans have AE86 struts anyhow. This may be the case with you. Is your 'late model wagon' an AE71 panelvan? Time to be more specific.

also word that if you're extremely lucky there were some very late model ke70 wagons that came with ae86 struts.

what year model is it?

late wagons came with ae85 struts, (well in jap and nz, donno bout aussy) can check by measuring the bolt pattern to the steering arm, and are ~51mm OD
