CodyTravers Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 I have a set of 4 stud alloy wheels and was wondering if anyone knows what brand or type they are...? Cheers Cody. Quote
Ben-89 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 They look like "Dragway" mag wheels. They were originally produced with a chrome or machined alloy finish. Early 70's to 80s era. 1 Quote
CodyTravers Posted December 23, 2010 Author Report Posted December 23, 2010 Google Images told me that looks like them! Cheers!! Quote
jono1986 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 But they look like cheap knock offs (no offense), mine don't have that centre lip thing unless they can be removed and just been painted over Quote
CodyTravers Posted December 23, 2010 Author Report Posted December 23, 2010 Ah! Don't think it can be removed. There probably used to be a cap on the centre....? Quote
frasian Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 they look like my cheviot drgaways but cheaper in a way ? check my build thread page 2 and you will see what i mean Quote
jono1986 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 That last reply of mind sounds stupid now that i read it back to myself, a few companies made the same style of wheel and sold them a little cheaper. Are the one's you have 2 piece or not? And yeah a cap goes in the middle Quote
CodyTravers Posted December 23, 2010 Author Report Posted December 23, 2010 2 Piece? I reckon they're just some cheapies. Quote
jono1986 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 The centre bit on mine can be taken out of the rim, someone that knows alot more than me will read and reply to this topic soon so Quote
Old fella Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Could be Cragar Mags. They were made back in the sixties and were famous for the spokes breaking away from the rim even tho they are cast as one peice. Cheers. Quote
SLO-030 Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Dragways have a chrome steel outter band and alloy inner. The two (center and band) can be seperated is what Jono is trying to get across. My set had dragway cast into the center between 2 spokes. Quote
Gavclassic Posted December 27, 2010 Report Posted December 27, 2010 ROH Hustlers, usually 5 spoke for Holden & Falcons in 14" but the smaller 13's are normally 4 stud 4 spoke. Look very old skool with semi gloss centres and polished lip. Quote
CodyTravers Posted February 4, 2011 Author Report Posted February 4, 2011 (edited) These wheels are now for sale. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/47362-ke70-parts/page__gopid__500765 Edited February 4, 2011 by CodyTravers Quote
