cozza_mane Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Ok, soo I've got a 4age in my KE55, got the engine mounts redone so the engine is sitting level and the tailshaft is running true, but the problem is I still get vibration when I rest my foot on the accelerator gentley, and when I'm doing 110 on the highway, its better with tailshaft trued but I'm still have the vibrations from up front. Getting rid of my rims so no more spacers as that was one part. But if anyone has had the same problems please tell me how or what was done to fix it, as Thanks Quote
t18drifts Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 wheel aligment wheel ballance maybe Quote
Sam_Q Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) tailshaft balance, not the wheels or else it would do it with no connection to the throttle Edited December 15, 2010 by Sam_Q Quote
GJM85 Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 tailshaft balance, not the wheels or else it would do it with no connection to the throttle He didn't specifically say when its in gear so it may not necessarily be the tailshaft... You need to open the bonnet and slightly turn the throttle and see if the engines harmonic balance is out of whack. If the engine revs cleanly without the vibration then its definately in your rear driveline. Quote
Sam_Q Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 well he did say it does it when he is going 110, but your right he could be coasting Quote
t18drifts Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 bent crank maybe :hmm: are ure tail shaft bolts all there and tight ect ect Quote
Sam_Q Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 if it was anything to do with the engine it would do it in every gear at the same revs Quote
cozza_mane Posted December 30, 2010 Author Report Posted December 30, 2010 (edited) yeh got the tailshaft aligned like i said in post, the engine does rock, but only at idle which is not constant, and i don't think it has even with a tune. the throttle is pretty crap too, takes longer to go back to idle then my old mans cruiser, gets sticky sometimes, is it possible to swap the cable. and sorry for the massive late reply Edited December 30, 2010 by cozza_mane Quote
