SLW42 Posted December 8, 2010 Report Posted December 8, 2010 well ladies and gents I decided as i was swaping the rear windows in the devils advocate, to make a 'HOW TO' to remove rear windows in YOUR keto for all the semi in-experianced noobs out there anyways... TOOLS REQUIRED 1. 10mm spanner/socket 2. Ratchet for said socket 3. Big phillips head screwdriver 4. Small phillips head screwdriver 5. Small flatblade (for clip behind window winder) 6. Bigger flatblade to remove cover on door handle 7. Thinking cap and your brain STEP 1 = Remove door card (if you don't know how this is done :bash: ) but you start by removing the window winder (there is a clip behind the winder to hold it onto the door, be warned if your not paying attention they will go flying into the great beyond  ), Then pull the cover off the middle of the door handle (flat blade screwdriver will come in handy), grab philips head and undo the two screws that hold the the handle onto your door, then grab small phillips to undo the screw that holds the cover under the door handle(the one that lets you in and out of the car) Pull your door card off the door, you should be then looking at the inside of your door :D Now here's were the pictures come in handy :P There will be two 10mm bolts one at the top like so And one on the bottom of the door like so Then there will be a phillips head screw on the very top of the door under the weather strip like so then you need to pull the window 'runner' out like this once that is out of the way you can then procede to pulling out above bolts and screw, once the 'rod' this thing>>>> is loose take the window off the runner on the bottom of the winding mechanism, let it GENTLY slide down and rest in the bottom of the door, remove the 'rod' out of the door and pull the quarter window out like this and you should have this in ya hand when your at this point and your door should look like this then to get the windows back in reverse the removal procedure IF I HAVE MISSED ANYTHING THEN PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD WHATEVER I HAVE MISSED SO I CAN EDIT THE POST IT OFFICIAL NOW SUCKERS :P Quote
Deeken Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Guessing that using this technique (lol) I will just be able to look at my door internals and see what is wrong with my rear windows? (both rears have detached from the regulator I think and can't be wound up or down, but moved with your hands) Quote
