Raven Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 At a guess, late 80's, early 90's. The majority are run on LPG and covered in a heap of emissions gear. Might pay to try and find someone who wrecks 'em :P Quote
JordyKE Posted December 24, 2010 Author Report Posted December 24, 2010 Anyone know of any extractors lying around haha? The Wanted to Buy section isn't noticeable enough. (wink wink  get it up on the homepage :P) hahaha Quote

JordyKE Posted February 6, 2011 Author Report Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) Sooooo... what exactly are the differences between the 3K and a 5K besides the extra 300ml of cubic capacity in the 5K I have a 3K sitting at home.... which i can build myself. Or waste my time finding and doing a 5K.. If i spent $400 on a 3K what do you think i'd achieve? ok go..... Edited February 6, 2011 by JordyKE Quote

If that's all you've got throw a cam at it and exaust.... if your lucky. The difference between 3k and 5k is the stroke and the bore.... think of it as a 253 as to a 308/3.3333r A big difference but not Fast and the Furious type shit. Don't think about doing everything at once. Buy a 5k and take the time to build it.... Time is on your side. Edited February 6, 2011 by GJM85 Quote
coln72 Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 Go the 5k, the torque is so lovely :) It would have to be a really good 3k to keep up with a 5k. As an example, my father and I both had KE20 club cars. Mine was powered by a 5k with a cam, twin carbs and a few other little things. The old mans was running a 4k with a ported head, higher compression, a BIG cam (it had nothing until 4000rpm!!!) and a modified single carb. Both were running extractors and 2" systems. We lined them up on an old airstrip one day while doing a motorkhana and mine walked away from the old mans. By the end of the eigth mile it would have been a car length or more in it. That 5k cost me $100 to buy and probably another couple of hundred to modify :) Quote
jono1986 Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 Go the 5k....much better noise..... Quote
