When headlights on left indicators stays on but don't flash 2. When headlights off and indicating left brake lights flash 2. Dash lights other then the indicator light flashes 3. Right indicators don't work. as well as few other weird things but that's the main stuff flasher unit gone? wiring messed up? the indicators and headlights and taillights all used to work perfectly but after I stripped it and put it back together after paint it was working only for a little while then it all went haywire... Any help greatly appreciated... Edited November 21, 2010 by Tally Quote
Medicine_Man Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 Sounds like bad a bad earth Quote
Sloth Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 Sounds similar to a problem I had with my 86 (with the headlights randomly working). Turned out to be a loose wire where the switches attach to the steering column. You'll probably need to see a wiring diagram. When I pulled the wheel off and took the column apart I was able to find the loose wire. Quote
jono1986 Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 I could come have a look if you want, if the flasher was broken nothing would flash as there is only one flasher can for both sides. Bad earth is probably a goer as if there is no earth on some lights the current flow through stuff and do weird...umm....stuff. It could well be the switch system itself, with old age and what not. Tally Posted December 6, 2010 Author Report Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) ok so tonight my headlights decided not to work. my left indicator problem went away last week but this week came back and stays on now when head lights are on (but headlights don't work now :S) changed the fuses few weeks back and they all seem still good... Raven Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Maybe your headlight switch is shot? The indicator stalk assembly may be dodgy too. Tried another one? Quote
