GJM85 Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 how much are the hd clutchs? Depends on the brand and the clutch. For a basic HD option your looking at anywhere between $180-$300. Quote
Evan G Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 $120 for a PBR HD $180 for a Extreme HD $280 for a exedy HD Quote
john84ie Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 thanks mate, you think the exedy id worth the extra?i'l be using it with a worked 4k Quote
Evan G Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 well i was gonna go for the extreme but i gave up, exedy would be a overkill behind a 4k? i mean yea your clutch would be great and hold the abuse but what about the 30 year old gearbox and diff? Quote
GJM85 Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 it depends entirely on how you treat the car. a pbr clutch will do the job but if your hard launching and flat changing everywhere then it will wear out faster than usual. if that's how you want to drive, get the exedy. it's only money.... Raven Posted December 19, 2010 Report Posted December 19, 2010 Even though there is no "off-the-shelf" kit for the 5K 200mm Flywheel, Adelaide Clutch Services can easily make a kit up. Its worth giving them a call. Quote
MattyZ Posted December 19, 2010 Author Report Posted December 19, 2010 i got my hd kit which is extreme for $180, and a new clutch cable for $82.00 and that was from autopro in gawler if ya live in SA, havent installed it yet was half way through conversion and lacerated and completely cut a tendon in my thumb, so out of action for a while, damn pedal boxes, will let ya know what its like when swapped Quote
