SLW42 Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 there is soooooooo many thing you can use to convert a 4 stud to 5 stud it would be worth reading through a few build threads and finding alot of info on 5 stud conversions, I would suggest looking into a hopperstoppers brake kit they come as a near bolt on kit for rolla's and i'd be suprised if they didn't do one for the ta's man, i think it's about $1250 for a complete brake upgrade and it comes as a falcon pcd, which is the same as a hilux Quote
beerhead Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 MS65 Crown hubs are what you want for a bolt on, they fetch a pretty penny though - $300 a set, a quick shave and all the factory brakes will bolt up if they're redrilled to match. MS112 hubs needs machining and custom sleeves machined to adapt the bearing cups, but can be had for cheap. Generic trailer hubs run the same bearing too, if your upgrading the brakes you'd need to run a floating rotor setup on them, but I've never seen this done, but being a load rated I'd say the engineer would be happy with them (don't quote me ask). BTW hoppers won't sell you loose hubs, not legal according to them, as there brake systems are sold as a package. Quote
