Depends what you want mate.

 

5K will be cheaper to begin with, but I'd say go 7K if you really want power.

 

Why? Because for relatively cheap you can buy a 7K with efi, and with a little fiddling fit it into your corolla.

Its larger, easier to boost, newer with likely less km's.

but i have worked on many single over head cam engines

 

K series are pushrod engines. No overhead cam here at all.
