Evan G Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 well acording to the engine manual. thermostat opens at 86 degrees. i got a digital temp gauge in my ke55 and i see the temp rise up to 82-84 then drop straight down to 72 when the thermostat opens. Quote
SLW42 Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 the easiest way to wire a thermo up is straight into a fuse, then into a relay (if ya want to and can't be bothered mucking around with the relay, run it up to a switch) then from the relay to the switch in the car, The motor doesn't necasarily need to be worked to have a thermofan, i honestly hate engine fans, i think there over rated and fail at life :P Power from battery to fuse, from fuse to relay, power from relay to thermo, earth relay, power from relay to one side of the switch,, power for switch from ACC in car to the other side of the switch Quote
Andy43 Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Our thermostat opens at 82 the, Thermo's cut in at 95 and out at 90. I used a thero switch out of a subaru that screws into the thrmostat housing. The switch cost about 40 bucks, and the relay about 10. Log on to the tridon web site there are heaps of options for thermo switchs. http://www.tridon.com.au/ In the pix the switch is in the roght side of the housing. CYA Andy Quote
