Raven Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 (edited) Thought i would share this with you guys, since I've tested it with a few people and it does make a difference. This handy little program will actually optimise your windows registry (windows 95/98/ME/2000/2003 Server/NT/XP) and configures it to noticably increase the speed of your connection. Click below to download. Speedguide TCP Optimiser Works with dial-up too if you're on a network or if your modem is internal (i think) as you have to select your dial-up adapter from the list. 1. Set the slider to 3000kbps for a 1.5mb and below link, higher for ADSL2 2. select the optimal settings button down the bottom. 3. Hit apply 4. Follow the rest and let the system reboot and reconnect. Let me know what you guys think! Cheers Mick ***UPDATE*** Tried it with a Cable internet connection and it didnt seem to speed it up at all. If anyone else finds otherwise, paste in here. Super Jamie Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 to be honest, i thought this was a load of garbage, but it actually does work! i've noticed a 2-3kb/sec gain in uploads, and a 9-10kb/sec increase in downloads, on my 1500/256 adsl Quote
