1. The first numeric characters specify the engine block's generation

 

2. The next one or two letters specify the engine family

 

3. The suffix (separated by a dash) specifies the features of theengine:

to be added when time. a list of makes that the engines are in complete with a nice table and full engine specs as well as any other major telltale difference between the cars

No offense, but copy/paste from Wikipedia is hardly "work"

 

Something like this should exist in the FAQ (half of it already does, actually), but it is something that most regular users on here would already know and have no real nead for.

maybe but I'm new and looking and looking yes some is in faq

but spread every where i want a single style spreadsheet that you can look at for :

engine type size year what car and other main specs like displacment

eg the ke55 came out with a 4k-c ( 1.3 carb ) then what gearboxes those cars came out with

you get the idea ...

but there isnt one like that in ONE spot .. that i can find anyway so .. i started making one
