LXY-642 Posted November 28, 2010 Report Posted November 28, 2010 Not going braided mate? Noticed they are all push on fittings Quote
13bke26 Posted November 28, 2010 Author Report Posted November 28, 2010 yeah going push lock fittings, seen them used in previous applications and work fine Quote
Taz_Rx Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Most of mine are push lock, never had a drip from one of them. FYI - The straight are easy to fit into the hose. 90* and 45* ones ones the other hand are a bitch. I ended up with a bruise in the palm of my hand from doing them!!! Quote
LXY-642 Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 From what I can see majority of them are not straight either. And good to hear that the push on works just as good :) Quote

And good to hear that the push on works just as good :) Certainly do, if you've put one together you wouldn't doubt them. Tips for beginners when putting them together - Soak the hose in some HOT water for a little while prior. It'll make the hose slightly more flexi. Also wiping a small amount of grease or dishwashing liquid around the fitting or end of the hose helps. Also anybody thinking of using them - The fitting itslef isn't really any cheaper than a braided one, its the hose itself that can save you some coin. 13bke26 Posted November 30, 2010 Author Report Posted November 30, 2010 yeah the guys at pirtek have told me what a shit they can be, and ive seen them done before.. the -6 ones arnt too bad to do, but the -10's are going to be the hard ones ... once i finish making the surge tank, ill start putting the fittings on the hoses..
