Man that thing looks awesome! nice pics :(

 

and for once its not even an hour from me,

 

so one day i may even get to view in person :o

 

I like how you are actually completing the whole car before it hits the road,

 

so it will be a sweet ride the first time you get to cruise it :)

looking nice. don't ever park the thing though! my panels were straight once, and only 9 months of weekend cruising (and parking here and there) there are plenty of trolley and door dents.

Some photos of the progress of one of the SSR Mesh rims, Sanded off the clear coat with 320 grit sandpaper, Then 1200 grit sandpaper, Then Autosol and a buff they came up a treat...

 

Also sandblasted the center of one wheel and etch primed it so teddy can get that painted during the week..

I need a haircut Soooo desperately. its on the to do list this week !

 

Today, i finalized a few rough edges and listed down the final 28 things that blue car needs before rego.

 

in no order.

 

- Modify and install the remanding inner guard clips, for the front wheels

- Tighten the fuel breather line for the filler neck on the tank end (need Smalllllll screwdriver or 1/4 inch tool(s))

- Install the rear inner guard plastics

- Re-seal rear talights, lense glue has dried up and cracked as its been there so long

- Finish installing boot wiring solder joints and affixing it to roof of boot

- Find road worthy tyre / rim setup, find tyre brace & wheel jack. Install

- dillevery of overrated grandma door trims to trimmer to finish of my door trims! (doing tomorrow arvo)

- Rust proof inside front doors

- install door trims & relating on doors

10° - Fiberglass top steering wheel cover and install security light

11° - Replace gearstick bushes (on end of gearstick & in housing)

12° - Install lower steering wheel cover, dash face panel on right, Boss kit and Steering wheel.

13° - Install instrument cluster (stock for now) and surround.

14° - Replace Tailshaft output seal on gearbox, fill up with oil

15° - Finish attaching breather line under car for carbon canister

16° - Install radiator fan & get shroud made, install fan temp on control unit. Put Foam on.

17° - Put new tyres on rims and install

18° - install parker & indicator lenses again :jamie:

19° - purchase and install new oil cap for rocKET covers. :)

20° - Install under tray under sump

21° - Cut carpet underlay from clutch pedal area and adjust free-play, again as required

22° - Re-install timing belt cover and fan belt. Get tony to listen to motor rattle

23° - Find and install blower controle bulb, install cover over that & interiour now complete for road worthy.

24° - lower vehicle to ground, and with some load, tighten rear diff bushes

25° - Lights Test & install numberplates

26° - Final vehicle Check over, I'm sure theres something small ive missed.

27° - D O N E - F O R - R O A D W O R T H Y - A N D - M O D P L A T E ! ! ! ! ! ! !

 

So, even though i have been saying its going to be done soon for the last how many years, as you can see the list is really not that large any more. :P
