Medicine_Man Posted September 2, 2006 Report Posted September 2, 2006 Today while Matt is away at the rally, I got a late start in on fitting the brake booster. Now I know it is going to bolt in properly it is time for a few coats of undercoat then it can be painted.. Quote

demuire Posted September 6, 2006 Report Posted September 6, 2006 That funny bell shaped thing where the old clutch cable used to come out - why didn't you just cut the whole thing off? Instead of nibbling a bit of it away to clear the clutch master? Quote
Medicine_Man Posted September 6, 2006 Report Posted September 6, 2006 That funny bell shaped thing where the old clutch cable used to come out - why didn't you just cut the whole thing off? Instead of nibbling a bit of it away to clear the clutch master? There are multiple reasons (1) In case for some weird reason he ever wants to go back to a cable clutch. (2) Less work involved to die grind a piece off the old cable clutch bell. (3) Engine bay is already painted, Don't want to make a mess of it if I can avoid it. Quote
Jono Posted September 6, 2006 Report Posted September 6, 2006 that "bell" in my ke20 came of with two firm strikes with a hammer - and absolutely no mess at all. Whats more, its intact and could easily be put back on if i ever need to go back...which i won't. Looking good though! Quote
