Teddy Posted May 9, 2006 Author Report Posted May 9, 2006 Ok ladies, as of this week, this is what is left on the car.. i think ive covered 90% of it.. theres still the body which is getting finished off as we are doing all this stuff.. Here goes :) 1. Jack up rear, take off wheels, Get diff out of car 2. Paint undercarriage of car with tar coat 3. Clean up break lines, fuel lines a. (Paint break lines gold, fuel lines silver) 4. Put break and fuel lines up under car. 5. Clean up and paint diff + control arms. a. Diff Black b. Drums Black, Red circle line c. Control arms Yellow d. Hand break cables Red e. Silver bolt heads f. Rear sway bar yellow 6. Paint Tail shaft Black. Uni joint Red. Bolts Silver 7. Put diff back in (new mounts?) 8. Clean up fuel tank, a. Black paint, silver screws b. Red strap mounts c. Silver tunnel d. Red fuel cap 9. Put fuel tank back into place, connect up fuel lines (new pipes + connectors) 10. Put diff back into position, connect up, connect up break lines 11. Put wheels back onto car, make car mobile again 12. Get break booster checked / master cylinder checked / painted / assembled / installed 13. Clean up front ½ fuel lines & break lines. a. (Paint break lines gold, fuel lines silver) 14. Clean up / paint front callipers – red 15. Install front callipers, new break pads 16. Install front ½ fuel lines & break lines & connect up a. Mounting 10mm nuts for lines in engine bay – silver 17. Connect up internal hand break. Adjust hand break 18. Recondition clutch master cylinder / check over / paint 19. Make hole for clutch master cylinder in fire wall 20. Install clutch master cylinder 21. Connect up steering shaft box + pedal box. Temporally put on stock steering wheel 22. Connect up clutch to gearbox – lines 23. Clean up internal firewall, re-tar? + Sound proof? 24. Remove heater hose t piece – paint silver 25. Remove and replace water washer jet lines. Paint mountings silver 26. Remove Front twin headlights, clean up a. Keep current colour theme b. Paint light bracket / cups black c. Bolts silver 27. Clean up / Check over heater box – install heater box – mount up inside appropriately 28. Gather appropriate water pipes, new connectors; connect up heater hoses 29. Paint bonnet poll and holder chrome red 30. Install new spark plugs. Install leads. Install new oil filter. Install new fan belt. 31. Take aircon box out of white car, and install into blue car dash. Cap of ends 32. Clean up extractors & install extractors. Use new gasket. Install o2 sensor. Connect up rest of exhaust. 33. Paint wiper motor black & silver + install. Silver bolts 34. Mount coil pack on passenger side of motor. Keep covered in V can J ! 35. Get new Ae82 / Ae86 radiator, fabricate mounting points top and bottom. Colour brackets black. Mount radiator. Fabricate mounting points for radiator thermo fan. Paint thermo fan brackets black. Mount thermo fan 36. Connect up top and bottom radiator hoses. Use new clamps 37. Mount overflow bottle _______________________________ 38. Mount washer bottle_______________________________ & connect up to washer lines. Extend wiring loom if necessary. 39. Fabricate Ae82 Air box, install Air box and piping – to motor and to air box. Carve out inside of air box. Install K&N filter to fit 40. Fabricate position for carbon canister & piping. Paint carbon canister black 41. Connect up break booster manifold pressure line 42. Connect up relevant emission hose lines. Connect up TVIS ? 43. Clean up boot as required, tar coat / paint inside / yada yada 44. Connect up boot release and fuel release lines While car getting painted, get interior retimed. 45. ONCE CAR IS 100% PAINTED & Panels Fitted up + All Door internals swapped 46. 47. Install wiring loom into car as best as possible, and clean up where necessary. Mount ECU passenger foot well. Somewhere... 48. Install Complete dash assembly. Dashboard top from white car, + new custom dash. Lengthen gauge wires, and stick out through firewall. 49. Install rear half of wiring loom into car 50. Install carpet & Roof lining 51. Install seats + Trims + centre console + Rear parcel shelf 52. Install door trims 53. Install taillights; connect up taillights and fuel tank wiring. 54. Install custom boot trims + Spare tyre + jack kit 55. Connect up boot release & Fuel release 56. Connect up wiring to motor, clean up where necessary. Mount Data output onto motor somewhere 57. Connect up accelerator cable + any other relevant or necessary sensors 58. Connect up all lights, external features. 59. Install chrome bumpers 60. Install mirrors 61. Install rear and front windows + surrounds 62. Mod plate / rego / legalities.. etc Possilby thinkin about getting price on tint for windows while doors are off car, and glass is out. Then get front and rear tinted (darkest legal) when cars rego'd. :) Quote
love ke70 Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 and i want it all done by friday or your not knocking off! haha anyways, i got my windows tinted out of the car and they came up and absolute treat! including the rear one do it, you wnt regret it all the lines get hidden beneath the seals etc actually, remembering more, the guy recommended all door windows to be in the doors so you don't scratch them putting them back in :) thats what my guy said anyway, makes sense to me :) Quote

Next in line is.. 1) get tint quote (both ways.. price diff ? adleast if they do it, its there fault if they screw up.. i might take off the door trims for them tho..) 2) Ae82 / Ae86 radiator new + 2nd top and bottom mounts 3) Break booster checked over + Cluch & Break master cyls checked over / replaced / o haul if nessary.
