rjenman Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Gday Hunting how to find some new drum brake circlips that go on inside and outside of brake shoes on rear of KE70. They look like strange open-ended washers about 1cm diameter (don't quote me) Does anyone know where to buy them new or what they are called? Cheers Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Do you mean the little shafts, springs and washers with a slot that hold the shoes to the drum assembly. If so I've got a set I could send you if you ask nicely! Quote
19914afc Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Spring retainers? I found a picture on the net.If thats them you can get them from toyota for about $1.50 each or something there ones from a hiace theyll know what you want if you bring in an old one.<br> Quote
rjenman Posted October 21, 2010 Author Report Posted October 21, 2010 NOT the spring retainers! the pin i'm talking about goes through the very top-most hole of the brake shoe. Its like a ROUND washer, except for the end bits that go a bit skinny. I've attached a quick sketch of the shape below: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Quote
rjenman Posted October 21, 2010 Author Report Posted October 21, 2010 i can't find a google image of what i'm talking about ! Quote
