hey all finally got myself a ke70 after months of looking and begging to buy one of a few people around town...

it was a ladys daily driver until the auto blew up so she paid someone 1500 to replace it and when she got it back it was no better than before...so i ended up getin a hold of it...and now the auto is all out and the manual s ready to bolt in...should be all done by the end of the week...its a sweet as motor clean and runs smooth as...will be gettin stripped of its polution gear and will get all the usual backyard mods to squeeze every last horsepower u can get outa a 4k motor...

interior is half stripped already and i just got my welder to so ill have a go at making a half cage ;)

and if i can find sum ma61 wheels they'll be on there to..

UPDATED SEPT 2007

Name: Scott Andrews

Location: Plymouth, UK

Car: 1981 KE70 Corolla DX

Motor & Driveline: Stock 1300 4K (With K&N filter)

Body: Stock square headlights, overrated with only small bit of rust on drivers door (Doors repaired and colour coded - Rubber strip removed)

Other: Was saved from a scrapyard and is pretty much show condition!!! Its only done 54000 miles from new with one owner ;)

Future Mods: This is my daily driver as I have a drift spec s14 silvia thats a bit thursty for running to work, so engine mods will be kept to a filter and exhaust for now but may put twin 40s on it at some point! It is gonna look the part though with polished dished wheels (minilights will do for now), lowered AE86 suspension, twin headlights and a few other retro parts! These cars are very rare in the UK so it will definately be something different :P

hey mate which handbrake cables did you use when using the s series diff in the 70? my brothers 71 is using the stock cables with s series and they are really tight when put on properly

Posted

Ke70 back to the "splitter" and then the S-series-ones from there.

the toyotadealer over here never came up with the right parts for the S-axle when I rebuildt it, so something seems to be weird here. But it says S-series on the chassisnumber-plate in the TE71, and the diff is about 6,35" so I guess it is an S-series.

Lol mine is just a run of the mill 4 door ke70, Yours is a 2 door very rare in Australia.

The 2 door ones is about as rare as the 4-door ones here in Norway.

But its pretty hard to get AE86-stuff here. Like the A-bellhousing for T50 for example.

I have a 4a to T50 bell housing if you are interested, I'm in Australia so postage would be alot.
