More defected ke70s than locusts in SA. Maybe I'm getting old, but cop bait isn't cool in my opinion.

I used to enjoy it when the cops looked over my loud, rough looking ke25 and then let me go because it was in perfect mechanical condition.

SA festival defect state, its beyond a joke my ke70 completely stock not one mod has been pulled over 3 times for "too low" even tho its 150mm off the ground at the exhaust (lowest part of the car).

must mean theyve solved all the other crimes in sa since thats all the do pull over p platers and defect people for nothing, yes it is that bad

could it have much to do with the fact that most of them are arse draggin on chopped springs falcon springs, rattling the passengers fillings out as it bounces over sewer lids, covered in primer with a shite load of camber on the front?

The police nationwide are cracking down on unsafe car's. one model of car (ke70) is / has been mass modified by young drivers as an unsafe vehicle to the point of no end. This is not an unjustified operation the police are running, it's for the public's safety on the road.

Philbey hit the nail on the head!!

I drove around in my modified but clean looking AE71 for months with not even a second glance from the 5-0. It might help I'm a little older than the typical E7 demographic too though :lolcry:

I've lost count of how many shitful E7's I've seen on the road in Adelaide

Its a real pity because it makes alot of people i know not want to get one because they will get branded as a "Hoon"

it used to be vk commodores or any commodore actually that used to get picked on but now it seems the ke's get hammered

i see more defected in a driveway than driving around

KE70s make my eyes bleed.

I reckon it's great.

i don't like the look of the ke70 either but for a thrash car that you and your mates can take shooting

or for drift practice they are perfect and bulletproof

rev them all day and if something explodes its relatively easy to fix

but i do agree most ke70's are DANGEROUS as most arnt nanna spec anymore but with

chopped springs welded diff, more bog than metal etc

This isn't a thread about personal opinion otherwise it will turn into a shit throwing competition, go out side and look at your ke70. Does it look like it should be defected? Then if it's a target vehicle EXPECT it to get it defected, Do you drive like a knob, you'll get defected.

I have been in the defected e7 boat before i quickly pissed it off and got a falcon hahahaha ;)

In QLD the things they pick on the most are commondoors and silvias, when i had the pearl on the road last it never got looked at twice, I can't wait till it's back on the road :P

Everyone hates keto's because people cut the springs (I am guilty of this, but the car isn't on the road) weld the diff and drive like wankers, that combination is bound to get you pulled over and defected

edit: just read the "SA" bit on the end of the thread title, so maybe my comments don't count.

ive got 2 mod plates in my car for appropriate things, and everything is nice and clean, legal height, niceish paint, wheels in guards.

and i got a bloody defect for my nardi steering wheel.

and they only pulled me up because it was a setup defect station.

ive not been properly pulled over for years, ever since i sprayed my car.

unfortuantely its rare to see a clean modified ke70, they all seem to for the stereo typical "drift pig". I'm unsure why, as they all look like heaps of junk, and prolly go like heaps of junk too.

all i can say is keep them off the road, and into the wreckers, for parts for me to pilpher!
