GJM85 Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) Look pushrods... aren't they something. How many sizes are there for the K motor series? I've measured the few I have so please do the same for the good of the forum's FAQ. 1K - 2K(import) - 3K(early) - 172mm 3K - 175/176mm 4K - 186mm 4K(with lugs) - 180mm? 5K(solid lifter, D-Dish piston) - 180mm? 5k(hydraulic lifter, D-dish piston) - 150mm 5k(hydraulic lifter, shallow dish piston - 156mm 7k - A12 - 152mm PS: no i'm not a kiwi though I did source my apparently false information from Club-K. Felix Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 You are way overcomplicating things. You have flat top (well really shallow O-dish for 5k)and D-dished (Reverse Domed is the correct term) with the 4k/5k motors. I would have made the list more like: K 3k bigport 3k smallport 4k flattop 4k dished 5k flattop 5k D-dish 7k 2k aren't in anything australian delivered. Quote
GJM85 Posted October 12, 2010 Author Report Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) That's nice to know... Edited October 12, 2010 by GJM85 1 Quote

Taz_Rx Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Are you a ex kiwi? If so on cluib-K everyone knows what a "twin squish" is.... here not so much. Quote
Felix Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Solid lifter 4k and 5k dished with lugs should be 180mm overall, as the heads are 6mm shorter than the normal ones. 5k flattop (no lugs) with factory solids would be the same as flattop 4k's at 186mm. K, I've got some around here but no idea where they are after our recent move. I'll keep an eye out. Quote
GJM85 Posted October 13, 2010 Author Report Posted October 13, 2010 Are 5k dished engines solid or hydraulic? Quote
