MS65 Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) Today i drove around Werribee Vic , Where the prices in Wyndham Vale are 50.9 cpl and in Werribee Central 59.9 cpl Hoppers Crossing 47.9 cpl It seems that Caltex are the deerest LPG around , In the last two weeks ive seen caltex go from 50.9 to 59.9 cpl and back down to 50.9 cpl ... The exception being The Woolworth s "Caltex" in Hoppers Crossing at 47.5 cpl but then in Geelong Ive seen caltex try and put there LPG to 69.9 cpl and then the next day it was 59.9 cpl.. It Just give's me the shits when i see LPG above 50 cpl. Edited October 6, 2010 by MS65 Quote
7shades Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Hah... Hovering around 80cpl up here, on a good day. Quit whining/buy a Euro diesel. Quote
altezzaclub Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 Shades you're a lot closer to the source aren't you?? Should be cheaper up there and damm near free in Darwin! :laff: Quote
7shades Posted October 6, 2010 Report Posted October 6, 2010 The bulk carriers cruise right past, on their way to the southern distribution centres... Where they stick in on a truck and deliver it back up here. The only big boats that stop here are cruise ships, delivering thousands of wrinkly Americans. /Offtopic but related: You can imagine my frustration when I imported my JZX100... I was able to track the actual RoRo carrier it was on via GPS, so I went down the beach and watched it steam past on its way to Brisbane. Quote

The place is swimming in LPG. Years ago (Ok in the mid 90's) I had a Rambler Matador that ran on LPG, cost $12 bucks to fill. Today it would cost around $45. As for ULP, we're currently paying 132.9 for ULP, 142.9 for 95 PULP and 158.9 for 98 PULP (only available through BP). Even though some of the tankers sail from Singapore straight past Darwin on the way down the west coast, to deliver fuel back by road. Quote
7shades Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 Ludicrous, isn't it. I'm actually keeping a close eye on the LNG pipeline and distro port they're building in Port Moresby. That may change things quite a bit for the northern half of this country... Quote
