Hi, I wanna buy a set of mags for sale on here, but don't know what 15" wheels would fit a ke30, theyre 15 x 6s with an unknown offset, that came off (i think) an ae86.

Anyone with previous experience care to help out?

I'm pretty sure ae86 have a front wheel drive offset so would probly rub on the inside

Hehe.

You might be thinking ae82. Its PCD is 4x100.

A ghetto way to find out is lay the wheel down on its face grab a board (4x2) place it over the wheel and run a tape measure or ruler down the middle to where the rim would bolt up to the axle. Then take the measurement to the axle. Its a rough way to find out the offset and you'll be able to see if the wheel/tire hits on anything.

Either that or just place the wheel on a front strut (less room there then what you'll have on the back).

Mate don't do it.

I put 15's on my KE-30 2 door and it drove like shit. They fit, but they scrub out over bumps and sharp turns, the ride height is too high, plus the speedo went out by about 15 km/h. The gearing also changes, you can hold it in gear longer but wont accelerate as quickly.

If you do use 15's, you'd want a very low profile tyre.

Sometimes standard is better.

The wheel diameter has nothing to do with scrubbing. You most likely have a crappy offset. Your ride height shouldnt have changed if you used the correct tyres. Your speedo would also read correct aswell if you did so.

Stock tyre size for a KE30 was what....165/75 R13

The equivilent tyre size in a 15" is 195/50 R15

That would mean the overall height of your wheel and tyre would be identical, as would the rollout except for a few mm. The speedo would also read 0.3km/h more than what you were travelling.

Now to the original question. I had 15" x 7" rims on my KE30 with a standard driveline (+8 on the front and +25 on the rear) with no scrubbing. That was with 195/50 R15 tyres.

I've also had 15" x 6" R31 Chasers which are ~+30/32 offset from memory. They fit fine too. TRX are similar in size and offset and they also work.
