ancullen Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 Son-of-a-bitch!!! That's AWESOME! A mate of mine works with a guy who is right into Minis. He has about 5 Cooper motors laying around, one of which has been taken out to 1430cc (from 1275). He also has a Honda B16 motor and a spare Mini shell, he's just waiting on the conversion kit to arrive from the UK. Â POST NUMBER 1200!!! Quote
ancullen Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 The guy works for Honda, I never claimed he was a real man. :n: Quote
Super Jamie Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 i hate working on minis. they are well fun to drive tho. amazing how you can just reef the handbrake on and it does a 180 :n: Quote
crazy_bunny Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 spent the day working on my mini... its a c**t... and wont start... i need a new engine, that V8 idea looks good.. as i have a van Quote

Super Jamie Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 two words for tuning this engine "f@$k" and "that" Quote
Super Jamie Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 anyone would have to be a tool to volunteer to tune that :y: Quote
Super Jamie Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 um. cos :P how about tuning 6 different efi computers :y: Quote
ancullen Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 (pre-empts rally people's opinions) ... Apart from induction noise... That's when you use a throttle body for each cylinder. You'd still get great induction noise and it'd be relatively easy to tune compared with six side drafts (well you'd think so anyway). Quote
crazy_bunny Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 EFI sucks for people such as me who have limited EFI knowledge.... Carby engines are piss easy to work with Quote
ancullen Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 Either way I'd just take the car to someone else who knows what they're doing cause I'm in no hurry to fiddle with either carbys or EFI. Quote
ancullen Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 I've got a damn Microtech M8 missing it's hand-controller, so if I want to tune it myself, I've got to buy a new hand controller or one of the DASH thingies. I'd much prefer one of the newer models that you can hook into your laptop. Or a Wolf, because they're meant to be the shit. Quote
