Hi all,

As the topic says I need to get a pair of wheels from the goldcoast back home to melb, there stripped of tyres and waiting to be picked up.

The seller told me postage would be sorted but now wants them picked up only due to being to busy working, would someone be able to pick them up for me and either let a courier pick them up or drop them off at a depot? As per usual there will be some sort of payment organised for your time etc.

Cheers, Jarrad

just so you and others are aware, austarlia post will send wheels no dramas.

put them in a box, one wheel per box, and no worries....

max weight of australia post is 25kg, and i can't remember max size, but its pretty big.

and prices are fairly reasonable, i sent 3 x 19kg boxes from QLD to NSW which were about 40x40x50cm. and it was only $70 for all three boxes.

only real pain is that you actually have to go to ausipost shop to send them. but they are open on saturdays for a few hours.....

Can say that I never had a problem when I sent 4 x 16" BBS meshies to Sydney in 2 boxes via Auspost.

Nobbler where on the Gold coast are they?

Aus post sounds good, I figured they would send them. The sellers not keen on boxing them up and posting them, that's where my problem is. I will however have to see what the max size and weights are for aus post, I have a complete blower setup to get from The Elimbah area to here as well.

The wheels are in worongary, only a pair.

Cheers for the info so far, will head to the post office on the way home.

half the price, twice as easy. I have used them for five interstate deliveries now, no probs.

I highly reccomend them.

So, E-go is not a dirty word? ;)

Thanks all for the input, will give you a call shortly Dave about the courier.

I'm assuming they do a door to door service?

And thanks to those willing to go out of there way, will keep you all posted on what happens.

If you are still having courier probs, try TRANSDIRECT COURIERS.They do door to door, extremely quick(never taken longer than 48hours to anywhere in aust) and very cheap.Instant quotes on-line and pay by credit card or paypal.

I have used them a dozen times,no problems.EG; corolla bonnet to perth from brisbane $45...So far I have found no limit on weight or size(my heaviest carton was 38kgs).Hope that helps you.
