Trev Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Try carby clean again but check the plugs again because if the injectors have been firing with no spark then the plug will most likely be wet. Quote
mx83dylzy Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 read my mind m8.. they all had pulse at injectors.. cranking did nothing sprayed carby clean splutterd and popped injectors maybe blocked again jeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzz Quote
Trev Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Do you know if it's got fuel pressure? Quote
mx83dylzy Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 2bar aftermaket reg Quote
mx83dylzy Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 tested with gauge wen was at m8s shop few weeks bak Quote
Trev Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Fuel pressure should be about 40psi, give the injectors a quick hit with a 12v power supply so the coil becomes unstuck (that's if they are), the ecu will not do this on it's own. Quote
mx83dylzy Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 ok will giv it a shot m8 so may need more fuel pressure 2 hmmm cheers m8... think I'm due few more plugs 2 these been in few times n cleaned add them 2 my plug graveyard lol Quote
Trev Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Yeah standard is like 38-40psi, 28 just might not be enough. Really would need to stick a new set of plugs in it. Quote
mx83dylzy Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 jus pulled em out cyl 5 only wet one others dry as a donkeys helmet.. will have 2 get a gauge for fuel press Quote
beerhead Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 If the injectors are clogged you can always use a brass punch and a hammer and tap them while someone is cranking the car, great trick on motors that have been sitting. Might be worth popping the bung on the fuel tank to make sure there's no rust in the tank. Clean the tank and lines and replace filter if its full of gunk, has to be a reason they're clogging up so fast. Quote
mx83dylzy Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 yea drained tank 2 time and flushed 4liters good fuel through but if thy blocked again obviously still shit in there fuel comes out clean as a whistle... put pressure gauge on goes 2 like 30psi then drops slowly only me ere so can't read whilst cranking............. Quote
mx83dylzy Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 ok goes 2 bout 36psi drops fast to like 28 then slowly jus drains back shouldn there be 1 way valve in pump so holds pressure least like 25psi? doesn seem 2 be much coming return from reg..guess jus need see what pressure wen crankin ay Quote
Trev Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Is that before or after the filter? Do a stall test on the pump, you can do this by removing the fuel pump relay and putting a wire from the relay power supply pin (should be 86, check with test light) to the pump power delivery pin (should be 87, check with test light) and block the return line off, make sure the gauge is after the filter, the pressure should jump to what you have it to and then bleed off after a couple of seconds when the fuel pump diversion valve opens. mx83dylzy Posted September 12, 2010 Author Report Posted September 12, 2010 is after filer and rail on reg the gauge so jus b4 return yea that sounds like what it does do w pump goin is at 36 Quote
Trev Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 is after filer and rail on reg the gauge so jus b4 return yea that sounds like what it does do w pump goin is at 36 Ah, I thought you got another gauge to test it. So the pump will deliver at 36 for a few seconds atleast? Quote
