Trev Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 Good to hear, I am guessing you are running coppers? If so, throw some iridiums in it, the resistance is lower so the spark will be better. Quote
mx83dylzy Posted October 1, 2010 Author Report Posted October 1, 2010 apparently is commen with jz and rb30 ignitors and ems ecus, so ems ignitors on the way lol..will let u know on the 7th Quote

mx83dylzy Posted October 7, 2010 Author Report Posted October 7, 2010 am sending off first to see if can be repaired at a lower cost.. otherwise i am unsure is running on 4 atm but think is due to beeing wired wrong by previous owner.. have ems ignitors now so prob ems still and superspark coils so spark should be there if i ever get a decent ecu in there.. spent sooooooooo much on dyno and tow 4 crap all atm!!! so much 4 these ecus never going wrong hey... that was the only reason i didnt have it tested because when i rang dealers they sid will never go wrong  Quote

Trev Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 I would've gone a PowerFC over an EMS, but hey, your choice :) Good to see its all working....now for the skid vids! Anything is better then an APEXi Quote

Raven Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 (edited) Anything is better then an APEXi You mean, anything is better than an EMS ;) At least a PowerFC is fairly easily tuned and they plug straight into the factory harness with no messing about rewiring things. Personally though, if I had to rewire a car to run a stand-alone engine management system, I'd be going either Haltech or Motec (for the fact that the latter can be easily engineered). My tuner can easily pull 300rwkw out of a 1JZGTE VVTi Factory Single Turbo engine with just a PowerFC and pulls more out of the non-VVTi version. Who knows what he can pull out of a Single or Twin Turbo 2JZ. I'll have to ask him. :) Edited October 10, 2010 by Raven Quote
