aparently some wiring was wrong am interested 2 know what wiring i missed when diagnosing..but am happy is running awaiting tune will post how goes need to fix few things b4 can be tuned:) $$$ have blown out a lot but maintaining optimism :dance:

i recon selling my chaser now so can get all goin need legal exhaust+tune+master cyl now list goes on and on not even looked at susspension and body yet needs set coilovers swaybars and decent bushes badly!! :cool:

Good to hear, I am guessing you are running coppers?

 

If so, throw some iridiums in it, the resistance is lower so the spark will be better.

ignitors installed ecu stuffed is now the official verdict yay!!! so much 4 my cheap project!! :bash: :no2:

 

Brad did suspect that earlier on.

 

What brand are you looking at getting now?

am sending off first to see if can be repaired at a lower cost.. otherwise i am unsure is running on 4 atm but think is due to beeing wired wrong by previous owner.. have ems ignitors now so prob ems still and superspark coils so spark should be there if i ever get a decent ecu in there.. spent sooooooooo much on dyno and tow 4 crap all atm!!! so much 4 these ecus never going wrong hey... that was the only reason i didnt have it tested because when i rang dealers they sid will never go wrong :blush:

I would've gone a PowerFC over an EMS, but hey, your choice :)

You mean, anything is better than an EMS ;)

 

At least a PowerFC is fairly easily tuned and they plug straight into the factory harness with no messing about rewiring things.

 

Personally though, if I had to rewire a car to run a stand-alone engine management system, I'd be going either Haltech or Motec (for the fact that the latter can be easily engineered).

 

My tuner can easily pull 300rwkw out of a 1JZGTE VVTi Factory Single Turbo engine with just a PowerFC and pulls more out of the non-VVTi version.

 

Who knows what he can pull out of a Single or Twin Turbo 2JZ. I'll have to ask him. :)
