KENut Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Gee that snuck up fast. I'll be there :lolcry: Quote
Sloth Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 I'll be there in the Hachi Roku, gotta decide which group to go with though :lolcry: AE86DC or Rollaclub If I go with AE86 my car won't look as good by comparison, but if I go with Rollaclub people will call it a Corolla and get distracted by the KE20 :lolcry: I don't have the stripes this time to lure over the kiddies. sammo[RL] Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 That did come up fast! I'll double check the address, because the website still lists the lawns near the libary, where we had it last year! Quote
kustombruce Posted September 5, 2010 Author Report Posted September 5, 2010 The event is back at John Knight Park in Belconnen, I am in the process of getting the Council web site corrected. Here is the event flyer Bruce Quote
KENut Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 (edited) Wasn't it moved due to space issues Bruce? Sloth: OR ccg haha they had a couple of sprinters last year didnt they? Edit; Also I can fix that stripe problem if you like :lolcry: I has a spray can or 4, multi colour stripes mmmm Edited September 5, 2010 by KENut Quote
kustombruce Posted September 5, 2010 Author Report Posted September 5, 2010 The committee which took over 2 years ago, decided that to get more spectators to attend, it should be in a more visible location. I disagree, the event was always about the enthusiast not the public. So the change which will affect the Japanese cars is the top of the hill which had the Ford show in the past will now be all for the Japs, as they are the largest group who attend. I still believe we can get 1200 cars in the park and still be enjoyable, but I am hoping for about 700 - 800, so plenty of room to move Bruce Quote
KENut Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Ah cool bananas, I would agree that the park is more enthusiast orientated, keeps it kind of low key which is nice. Do you need entrant numbers? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Wow this sounds great, pity I'm on the sunny coast. Quote

Only been to one of their events and haven't been active with them yet. I've been active in Rollaclub forums for a while and AE86 (and have some merch too :lolcry:). I think I'll keep the sprinter stripeless for now :lolcry: Once I get some more cash she'll get a makeover, but that won't be for a while. Quote
