capt. crunch Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 after putting my 4ag in i want to wire up a check engine light, i got the ecu wiring diagram, am just wondering if there is a unused light on the ke70 dash or if i can just simply wire in a loose lamp at all? Quote
ke70dave Posted August 31, 2010 Report Posted August 31, 2010 hey mate, no extra lights unfortunately. i just used one of the old radio volume control knob holes (up on the left) and found a globe bezel that fit in. i think i had to file it slightly. if your keen you can put a new light inside the dash though. may be a bit of a pain, but it would look good. capt. crunch Posted August 31, 2010 Author Report Posted August 31, 2010 (edited) how do you wire it up though?just simply the wire from the ecu and then to earth? i was thinking of putting a polished ali plate over the area where old radio went then putting a small light in there along with any other relevant extras. e70van Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 On a bigport ecu from memory its the thin gauge red wire. i to wouldn't mind know how to do this. is the wire a negative trigger or positive? Quote
capt. crunch Posted September 1, 2010 Author Report Posted September 1, 2010 yep i got mine sorted last night. I looked at this pin out diagram http://www.club4ag.com/technical_main.htm#...0and%20Learning and realised its the ground wire, so just wire the light up to a +12V and then the other side of the light to the thin red wire. boom presto it works :jamie: Ke70Dave confirmed that it is wired like this today too.
