Turbo 4afc would be a bit pointless IMHO when you could just drop in a 4age/gze and boost that.

If you want to persist then just do some searching for K series blow-through info. All of the pricipals are still the same. :P

If your looking for a cheap and sleazy power increase, buy an sc12 blower of a 4agze and mount it on your AC bracket. Then you'll just have to plumb it into your carby. Those 4a-fc are over fuelled as it is. Could possibly see 90kw for about $400. You could probably run up to 10psi of boost.... turbo would be hell more expensive.

blow threw from what i have read is a bit harder where as draw threw the carby can just be rejetted and does not have to cope with positive air pressure running threw it

It can also be dangerous usuing a suck/draw through setup. I agree with Taz, maybe invest in a 4age, or gze. Ive seen alot of things blown up by people that don't really understand what they are doing.

it's a learning curve... first you would learn how to plumb a blower, then you would learn how to replace your engine. Then and finally you would learn to buy car and health insurance by which time you have become learn-ed. But yeah I did forget the pressure sealing of the carby which would be considerably impossible due to the amolunt of pollution gear and vacuum hoses.... I now recommend the following...... 3rdparty/fire/theft insurance>>>> bushland>>>> petrol>>>> matches>>>> payday>>>> ke20!!! :P

Correct, draw-through is easier as the carb is not under boost pressure.

Saying that though you do need to make sure the turbo has carbon seals as it'll have fuel running through it.

Weber did a turbo carb setup in the 80's for UK Ford Escorts CVH engines. I think maybe they were distributed by Janspeed or Turbo technics in the UK. Also maybe have a look at the setup on Renault 5 GT Turbos. They were carb turbo.
