i know about that law, but to be honest i have been pulled up heaps and been defect for many shit and have never had the motor been a problem, they look at the modplate and check the engineers cert and they say ok,

 

and yes i did build the motor myself saved on heaps of costs, I'm a 2nd year app mechanic, but have a very fond knowledge for motor builds

Just throwing it out there as P platers don't really think of engine conversions as illegal, weird how they check the mod plate and your licence and say ok though, suppose you will be luck until the day you have an accident.
