jimi91 Posted October 16, 2010 Author Report Posted October 16, 2010 Update..... The other weekend finally got the rear axle bearings and seals fixed and put in :laff: This weekend i got a set of speakers and a head unit, so I decided to put it in today well that was ok until i broke the back parcel shelf :bash: but i went down to the hardware store and got a piece of 3mm craft wood so did a template and cut it out and have been sanding it at moment :glare: Dad has started with the front half of system to get me under way and help me a little lol anyway we had to take most of dash apart so decided to put the tacho dash in while we have it apart and get that all sorted. So hopefully by tonight will have a sick sounding system and a tacho  Went out last night and cruised with my mate have some pics put on later See ya Quote

jimi91 Posted October 19, 2010 Author Report Posted October 19, 2010 hey guys Ive put the speakers in the rear temporarily until i can secure them down properly but I'm having problemswith the front speakers when i adjust the unit to even the back and rear speakers distort but when it is setup to full back speakers the rear ones are fine and it works awesome???? any ideas would be greatfull I'm running a alpine head unit with Sony 4' speakers in front and 6x9 kickers in rear which are all brand new!!! see ya jimi Quote
jimi91 Posted November 1, 2010 Author Report Posted November 1, 2010 well had an accident on the weekend it was very wet and went around a tight corner and crashed the rolla and did a fair bit of damage :sob: yep its bad and it gets worse those where dads favorite rims and ya can't get them anymore :bash: oh well I'm hopefully picking a new diff up soon with parts seeing how i bent the axle, panard rod and left shocker mount... so I'm hoping i can get her back on the road soon and take it easy next time I'm driving :hmm: Quote
Ben-89 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 I'm not having a dig, but am offering advice :) :y: I take it you were trying to kick it sideways in the wet, bog stock ke70s are preety tricky and understeery little things in the wet - especially when pushed hence what happened to your car. don't ruin a nice ke70 man, :n: luckily you didnt hit someone or injure yourself :fuzz: . Just hope you didnt bend or crack body mounts where the diff bolts to or panhard rod, as thats a heavy bit of kit to bend. How bad is the damage to the wheel arch behind the door? If you want to have fun, do it on private property where there are no curbs to hit. Or even better, buy a bangbox condition one and abuse it. Quote
jimi91 Posted November 2, 2010 Author Report Posted November 2, 2010 yeah don't worry all my workmates have had a dig!! but i wasnt doing anything stupid i think she understeered a bit then heaps of oversteer (sometimes when i do get sideways i take my foot of and it goes straight) but this time it was way out of control and it just kept sliding :bash: thanks anyway mate na it looks ok i just havent had a good look yet need to take old one out first see ya jimi Quote
RX-747 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 nice ke70 so clean and it looks pretty quick, but shit thats some bad luck there man, looks pretty nasty bet you were a bit shaken up after it.. you have to be careful in the wet sometimes, rwd cars can be a bit of a handful and can just snap from understeer to oversteer back to understeer again but you probably already know that.. hopefully its not too bad and it gets back on the road soon.. Also if your interested and want some micky mouse ultralites I'm thinking of selling the ones on my car, they are 13x7 and -7 offset and are extremely light which would look nice on your car too in my opinion, only problem is they have a 110 stud pattern but i have spacers which work on them.. all the best with it buddy Quote
Evan G Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 man atleast you hit the rear instead of the front. (bending LCA/tierods/wheels) and never having a proper straight steering car again! Quote
