Hey

Just wondering if anyone on here has tried rolling/flaring their guards? And how did you go about achieving this? I'm curious as to how this is done. Have a good one.

Thanks

Troy

cut the inside lip with an angle grinder. Pull out on guard till its in the correct position. Then remove gaurd from car and weld in a steel rod thus sealing the inner lip where the cuts were made.

i can't say i would recommend any way other than a guard rolling machine, no point in welding or panelbeating with their complications unless skilled in the area of course :D

apparently the paint is heated , so when rolled it has less chance of cracking.

and it comes out all nice and smooth for about $50 a corner.

I used:

1 x Maglite Torch

1 x Crazy friend to hold said torch

1 x use of vehicles engine to drive forwards and backwards slowly

Resulting in....

1 x set of flared guards that clear my 17's

1 x set of flared guards with heaps of paint missing :D

So yeah...use a machine
