can i ask what kind of air filter that is and where you got it from??

What sort of difference did the air filter mod give van?

 

Did you just leave the top circle sealing against the filter top??

 

here is a pic (not my photo) that i edited carefully...

 

I got the grinder out and cut around the ring (there is a rubber seal underneath so it seals well onto the filter still.

 

Straight away it revved harder and pulled harded over 3000rpm. it also sounds great too.i played around with the a/f screw abit and i helped it again. worth doing for sure. costs $0. i took the 3 clips around the filter housings outside edge off too so they wouldn't rattle around. :P

Great! I thought it would get rid of one bottleneck in the intake system. That would be the cheapest path to extra power ever!

havent been on here for a while, found a set of extractors and other bits and pieces for the 4k... thinking on a v6 ecotec conversion does anybody do conversion kits or know how to?

My 4K KE30 had

 

all stock 4k, just pulled apart cleaned up and back together.

 

Thermo

 

Extractors into 2" system and a straight thru muffler.

 

Went like the clappers to be honest.

 

Wouldnt go ANYTHING over 2" exhaust. Even for the supercharged setup the exhaust shop only recommended 2.25"

 

Go for a muffler and resonator. Was waaaayy too loud, police didnt like it quite as much as I did.

where is a good place to source a cam? what grind would you reccommend? yeah was going to take the head off and give it a clean up, and have been checking out ebay for a carby seems to be a few good buys on there. was going to machine the flywheel a bit too

Your flywheel depends, more heavy it is more top end, the light more bottem end.
