Also progress:

Heater pipes in, reassembling the front end has commenced.

Only thing left to do is the clutch line. Should have a test run set up a bit after lunch time depending how busy Dad and I are with actual clients...

Mines a flat front. Haven't converted it lol. Very weird.

Need to make up brackets.

I like your cat and the carpet. the bumpers are pretty cool too :P

Is it running yet dude?

My house was built by tasmanians, hence the carpet choice...

Cat was trying to get under the bumpers. Took her about 30 mins to figure out she was too big. :laff:

Should be tomorrow!

Unbelieveable disappointment.

I was not able to get it on the road.

Only tyhing missing was the Clutch slave cylinder.

I hadn't even thought to check if it was the right one, because well it just should be right? I didn't even know they made a left and right hand side one. why would they be different...

ANYWAYS... I didn't manage to get one and I'm not able to take it on the GOR trip.

However:

I did get her running, The engine itself is in perfect condition!!!

One carb runs a bit sloppy below 3k revs, but I'm sure it'll clean out after a few days with petrol left in it.

Too bad you couldn't come mate...

Have a lot to do now, not going to half ass the rest.

To finish before I drive it:

INSTALL CLUTCH Ol mate evskii's had a clutch slave for me at the first GOR meet point! nothing stopping me from driving her now. THANKS EVAN G

Carb rebuilt. Also need a pair of decent sandwich filters. Similar to Jaygore's.

Reverse lights wired.

Headlights wired.

New Radiator.

Bumper brackets made.

Update:

Clutch slave in! Just need to fix line connection, some goose tightened it up too much and it flared slightly.

Fixed the Lockout switch form the auto, and wired up the reverse lights.

Ordered the new extractors, should be coming sometime next week.

Not sure if the carb needs to be rebuilt any more, she sounds a lot better. Needs to be tuned properly.

New fuel filter, with return hose. To relieve pressure and save fuel. A lot tidier than the old set up.

Took the bumpers off ready for the new ones to go on.

How she is at the moment.

Update:

Few dramas with the car... Didn't make it for Winton :glare:

Clutch master was in wrong so I had to take it out and make it fit properly, so the pedal had more travel.

Clutch now works!

Jetted one of the carbs to see if it would run better, worked perfectly and ran smoothly...

Next day, the carb loosened all the rest of the gunk inside, and they're blocked again, need to be cleaned out properly.

Thought the alternator was dead, and asked around to borrow one to test the car etc.

Found out it was wired wrong, put the wires on backwards, alternator works perfectly!

Bought Ben's AE71 radiator. The holes don't line up with the ke70 radiator holes, and I was under the impression they were the same. The AE71 rad is about 3cm wider, so I had to make up brackets, with the help of Doogs, who was down with Hendo. Works perfectly.

Extractors still aren't here. The guy I ordered them got back from japan on Friday so they should be here in a few days..

To Do:

Clean and find Filters for the carbs.

Headlights, Tacho wired up

how the car going all finnished yet?

Almost...

Always seem to be saying that haha.

Wiring is basically done, have to plug everything in.

Found 2 Exhaust manifold bolts snapped off in the head, and painted over. Only had time to get 1 out. Extractors are going on tomorrow, then she's going to the exhaust bloke.

Cleaned out the Carbs and they were still backfiring a bit. Found that they were still blocked somewhere, running very lean in the primaries. She runs, just not too well.

Ordered 2 Carb rebuild kits from the US, which should be coming some time this week.
