Sloth Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 I love being told my car/engine doesn't exist. I've had lots of confusion when I've told people exactly what I have (Saying AE86 SR5 confuses people a lot). Quote

TWF#14 Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Supercrap is where you go if you already know exactly what you need... never ask them questions. If you have questions got to Auto One ;) (The Cannington one is good anyway). Every Auto 1 is good :D Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 I agree Auto One is good, though when I went there to buy paint for my car he didn't know that the GMH black was matt. And Car Bitz is ok, they sold me a 4k water pump for 40 bucks less than Repco, they are just always understaffed. Quote

Bamboo Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 (edited) pull of the heater hoses at the fire wall to flush the heater core, and BE GENTLE with the water pressure. Flushing is an art on old cars. Flush every hose in each direction until all you see is clear water. 'Cause it's a drought, don't let the neighbours see! Edited August 20, 2010 by Bamboo Quote
Evan G Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 and don't let coolant flow to the drains on the road! come on B you should know this Quote
Bamboo Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 and don't let coolant flow to the drains on the road! come on B you should know this Yeah E, your right. But if you do it on the grass, you'll have a nice dead patch. My neighbours don't really give a shit so I let that bad boy flow. My theory is people are allowed to water their garden, so the occasional flush on my fleet of cars is ok! Quote
t18drifts Posted August 20, 2010 Author Report Posted August 20, 2010 ok sweet as anything else i shold watch out for :D Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 The drain taps on old radiators are for show only... don't try and use them. I learn't this the hard way, the whole thing came off at the weld when I tried to undo it. :( Quote
