Hiro Protagonist Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 :D ok according to super cheap auto 1.8l 3tc isnt real and toyota didnt bring out any 1.8l engines untill the 90s wtf people whats going on in this world What were you looking for? Remember that a lot of Supercheap's catalogues etc are from the aftermarket manufacturers, so if the company doesn't list it then Supercheap won't. Plus remember that the T18 is sort-of an orphan, so it's not surprising that it doesn't appear on some lists. Quote
drc_ke20 Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 NGK Spark Plugs #BPR5EY 0.8mm gap ask for this next time your in a spare parts shop Quote
parrot Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Also, you probably need to look for applications suited to a TE72, rather than T18 Quote
t18drifts Posted August 20, 2010 Author Report Posted August 20, 2010 cheers willl do :D but it was kinda anoying how this dude was trying to convince me that toyota didnt make 1.8l engines untill the 90s not before that time -__- Quote
ke70dave Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 what were you looking for? the part lookup system at supercheap is a heap of junk (i used to work there), its web based, so its extremely slow. having said that most staff have no idea about cars (they get NO training at all). so a combination of these two things = difficult to get good help. B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 last time I got plugs they had a book hanging up next to them with all the specs for different models. Quote
ke70dave Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 sorry trev he edited it after i read it!! also.... http://www.ngkspark.com.au/sparkplug_cars....+-+19831.8L3T-C (hopefully that works) Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 last time I got plugs they had a book hanging up next to them with all the specs for different models. Which is a good thing as it lets you bypass the numpties at the "service" desk and actually let you look up what you know you need..... Still only works on the assumption that the catalogue has the model you need though, you'd be surprised how many are missing from Castrol/NGK/Bosch etc and yet some weird ultra-rare ones are included at the same time (like some catalogues say mightn't list any Corollas older than 1978 but then would have a listing for a 1964 Studebaker) Quote
t18drifts Posted August 20, 2010 Author Report Posted August 20, 2010 last time I got plugs they had a book hanging up next to them with all the specs for different models. Yeh thats what the guy was looking at lol he was like 16 and had no idea -__- Quote
Rolla Newbie Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Sorry? You were in Supercheap and expected the kid to have a clue? The guys at Auto Pro up the tp of Belconnen are great, very helpful. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 Supercrap is where you go if you already know exactly what you need... never ask them questions. If you have questions got to Auto One :D (The Cannington one is good anyway). Quote
t18drifts Posted August 20, 2010 Author Report Posted August 20, 2010 yeh well original plan was autpo one but they was shut :D so then went to super cheap but yeah agreed auto one are better but its better when u no what u want aswell ;) Quote
