believe it or not ive had the diff behind it for over 6 years and never had to touch it

Yes but from this thread you obviously have never had it on the strip.

Stock KE15 did quater in 17 seconds on a 3k-B motor factory spec.

And total guess this but a KE70 with a silvertop will run about a 15.5 second pass so ina lighter car not by much but enough i recon high like 14.9 to low low 15.2 second passes.

Also if it is stock diff will get off line faster than other KE's as KE1X had a lower diff ratio so migh be a high 14.

Let us know the results.

How longs a piece of string???

There are soo many variables to look at here, have you raced before? That's usually the biggest variable in racing.

Get in a groove, figure out how the cars reacting, work out the right tyre pressures for you and have a ball!

If it's not somewhere around (or lower) than a flat 15sec pass then buy a box of matches :D

wow why the negativity? just coz he is at the track doesnt mean he would drop the clutch at stupid rpm and brake his diff. i don't understand how you can assume how he is going to drive the car?

If you take your car to the drag strip and don't put any extra stresses on the diff... you're doing it wrong! :D

Ok then, 18 seconds.

Realistically at a street meet the tracks not going to be that sticky, I used to have less traction on street tyres at the track than on the street in my twincam! It will still hook up if your doing it right and to be honest, it's not going to cause you much more grief than launching hard at a set of traffic lights.

I'm looking forward to you getting out there, will give me an indication of how much slower my car will be with the 5k :D
