philbey Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) Laugh it up guys. I know plenty about a steam car build currently underway. She's hi tech and it'll be a screamer. But there's 25 years of genius design and engineering tied up in it and about 60k last time I was game enough to ask. yes I've seen the motor run. Yes it fits in the engine bay of the car it's designed around. And it's calculated 300hp with instantaneous power delivery. Edited August 13, 2010 by philbey Quote
beerhead Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 Just teasing, the irony is that there was an American inventor with a steam powered car with a hot box in the boot that was more efficient than any petrol car has ever been. Quote

white_sandshoe Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 good power with instant torque delivery? heeeey... that sounds a bit like an electric motor :fuzz: Steam is dead. Volts for the WIN! Quote
mattress Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 Well it's all irrelevant. You can't have an engine conversion on your P's. Quote
xmoht Posted August 13, 2010 Author Report Posted August 13, 2010 good power with instant torque delivery? heeeey... that sounds a bit like an electric motor :fuzz: Steam is dead. Volts for the WIN! I saw a steam train out run an electric car so I think that you are wrong. Will this fit on a ke70? I don't have a car atm as I am getting my cousins for my 16th bday so can someone please find out. How much does a flux capacitor cost and is it better than a steam engine as I saw a steam engine out run it so better power to weight ratio??? :? Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 Flux capacitors are readily available but you need to travel into the future to get one. Its a bit of a catch 22 but if you invent the flux capacitor and run it in your steam rolla then no worries. Quote
_FNQ_rolla_ Posted August 13, 2010 Report Posted August 13, 2010 Hey forget the 18th century steam engine, why not go for a 21st century battery powered car Flux capacitors that can do 11.5 @ 110mph Click this Flux capacitor Quote
