Fixed the charging issue that's been plaguing me for like 6 months. Just disconnected the alternator regulator. What a ʞ©$ɟer....

Now waiting for some coin to get a hole in the chassis welded, get the exaust rectumfied and get a mod plate for the hulking donk. It's a good thing i'm not holding my breathe....

Fixing one thing is a step in the right direction Gav!!

Dads 1600 took 2 years just to get an engine conversion done(which you've seen incomplete). I can tell you, from getting the rolls on the road then EFI and supercharged, then the datto after that, it's very rewarding knowing it's on the road ready whenever you want to drive it!!!

You'll get there before you know it mate :)

Beer, bbq, breaker bars & bitches. ;) That's how today unfolded..... minus the bitches. It just sounds better that way.

Would like to start out with a few big thankyou's to the pit crew, Chris (Undertaker), Keiron, Nick, Ryan (bbqist) & JP (CA_ROLLA). You guys rock.

Also I final thankyou to Jen for staying home with the kids. :) :) ;)

A lesson for those who want a low low ride. Don't flip your leaf springs. It shears nuts and bends U-bolts. :bash: Managed to flip them back though missing nuts off the left rear spring mount, a left side U-bolt and a couple of bolts off the front right spring mount. Took a good few hours but managed to get the arse back to grandma spec. BIG.

Pulled the tailshaft while I was under there.

JP started on his 70, which you'll see a build thread soon but stopped to help us work the gearstick out. Meanwhile the crew started under the hood. Or so we thought, removed the radiator and mount, the beaver panel and anything else that was in the way. Had a problem with a gearbox mount bolt but Dad helped us out with the impact driver and breaker bar.

Pulled the donk & Ryan blew an O-ring. :blinks:... The 3k and 4 speed is now for sale. Spot it in the sales forum.

makes a big difference turning the leaf springs upside down ohmy.gif but I'm glad you said that it fu#ks the nuts n bolts coz i was contemplating on trying it haha,

Yeah and it causes the suspension to work backwards. It might be low but every bump will launch your arse skyward.

FUNNY QUESTION. Little random.

Gear ratio wise i'd say so depending on auto or manual. But if you mean wheel track or width i'd say no. There was a 35mm increase between the ke20 diff and the ke30/55 diff. I'd assume there would be an increase between the 30/55 and the ke70 again. Also the ke70 is a coil spring rear end and the 30 is a lead sprung rear end.

Just put a 3k carb on with 108 pri & 153 sec. Seems ok. Then I swapped the 38/38 I had for a 32/36 dgv. It has 135 pri, 145 sec. 160 & 185 air correctors and 55 & 65 idles. Everthing seems to be in order to try this thing out.

air corrects are pretty rich mate!

go 190 190/210 220

then pris 135 and secs 155.

Not insured. My sister is fine. She's been driving the rocket since she got her P's last year. Then she crashed it into the arse of a 4x4. A little bit devo. I loved that car.
