clubby2084 Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Anyone work in L/100Km ?? Something that might help... KM Driven, Tank size, L/100 350klicks, 45, 12.86l/100 400klicks, 45, 11.25l/100 450klicks, 45, 10l/100 500klicks, 45, 9l/100 550klicks, 45, 8.18l/100 600klicks, 45, 7.5l/100 650klicks, 45, 6.92l/100 700klicks, 45, 6.43l/100 I used a 45 liter tank as this is what most Corolla's seem to have. But, if your car has a larger (or smaller) tank and want to work it out visit calculator-converter.com Quote
flamingheads Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 I thought I was getting about 8.8 litres per 100 but I just did the maths again and either my numbers or my maths are very out. I'll have to recheck. Quote
tojo2 Posted July 27, 2010 Report Posted July 27, 2010 Anyone work in L/100Km ?? Allways, anything else is pointless 3kh ke35 6L /100k open roads, 7L mixed 4k kp61 6.5L/100k open, 8L mixed but drive it harder. My gas is probably cooler than yours so I get more bang for buck :jamie: Quote
jono1986 Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Made a program for my calculator a little while ago to do this for me but roughly: (Litre / distance) x 100 = L/100km i.e. (38/400) x 100 = 9.5L/100 Quote
daggers57 Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Just thought I would add my 2 cents. While my 'rolla is off the road I drive my 1998 Nissan Pulsar. It was getting around 9.5L/100km but then I did a full service and am now getting 8.3L/100 km, amazing what a service can do! Most of this driving is on the freeways but I drive it hard and use Shell V power fuel. Quote

Cousin has a 3rz auto space cab 2wd hilux, after replacing the engine fan with a thermo and putting a CAI pod on it it gets 200k's more to a tank which is was only averaging 450 before hand. Quote
doecke55 Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 how does just those 2 things improve fuel economy that drastically? Quote
Trev Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 how does just those 2 things improve fuel economy that drastically? CAI = denser air = better economy. Removing fan = less engine drag = better economy. I did not believe the results until I seen them either but it is true. Quote
LXY-642 Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Ke36, 5k, 4 speed, 4.11's, 450km's on the freeway. Would get heaps more with a 5 speed. Would of got more around town because of the 4 speed. Quote
clubby2084 Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Out in the Clubsport the other day. 19.1l/100 around the burbs, Ouch!. (blowin out the cobwebs ya see!!!). Then went for a cruise down to Litchfield NP and back, achieved and overall average of 10.6l/100. Sitting on the 130km/h limit. None to shabby for a worked 355. Quote
brendan Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 i have a 17 sprinter with a 20v stock with extractors and 2' system i get 450km per tank thats treatind it good Quote
LukeAE71 Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 With my 20V AE71 I would get 600 k's to a tank.... it was so economical and it didn't change no matter how it was driven either :lolcry: Quote
Scott_87 Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 Wow I wish I got those sort of K's per tank or km/100k. With filling up my tank I would be lucky to get 400km's. I have a ke70 with a 5k running 32/36, extractors, 2 inch zorst with lol sports muffler. Just had the car dyno'd and carbie rejected, I some how seemed to be getting more K's/100 before this though??? And no it wasn't running lean. Quote
19914afc Posted August 22, 2010 Report Posted August 22, 2010 after complete service and carb tune I went from about 16L/100kms to around 10L/100kms. And for some reason I use more petrol when I use premium rather than just regular (not ethanol) Quote
Trev Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 Just got 544k's out of the seca (4age auto) from full (one click) to fuel light where it started spluttering going up a hill so close enough to 50L. 9.19 L/100km or 10.88 km/L Quote
