Jordain Posted January 9, 2012 Author Report Posted January 9, 2012 Â those are just 15x8 Sport max's XXR i think they are called. Worth about .... $700 for a full set with tyres Quote
Jordain Posted January 10, 2012 Author Report Posted January 10, 2012  SUPRA W58 gearbox mount, needs a little modification to fit   fabbed up some sort of a gearbox cross member... shame I forgot about the fact that Gearbox mounts are meant to bolt off... so I might make another one later down the track when I could be bothered.   My welds are improving :)    With the notch to the central floor brace, It allowed me to raise the gearbox nearly 60mm making the engine and gearbox level which allowed the 4th coilpack to be removed. Very happy with the positioning of everything so far. Quote
Jordain Posted January 11, 2012 Author Report Posted January 11, 2012  mid gearbox mount finalisation, Stickerbombed rearview mirror... lol got abit bored of welding haha, had to mix it up.   Tough as guts   Motor sitting happily.   Chilled summer day.. finally, out of the shed. So so glad it's mounted.   Had to chuck a seat in and get a feel of the new car, defiantly put a smile on my face sitting in it! Quote
Jordain Posted January 11, 2012 Author Report Posted January 11, 2012 Thanks guys, getting a few more nuts and bolts tomorrow so It's properly bolted in, Hopefully make a template of the firewall and maybe even make something up. Was thinking about doing the rack and pinion but I'm going to wait till my dad's got an afternoon off work and get him to help me and his the family suspension/car set'er-up-er-er lol. Quote
MattJA Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 Jordain, ive read your whole thread and its so long i have forgotten, do you still have that 2T motor?? car looks freaking tough. hell of a job. your 3sge has again halted my decision on what to put in my 25. Â cheers, matt Quote
Jordain Posted January 11, 2012 Author Report Posted January 11, 2012 2TG motor got sold before I bought the Beams motor. 2TG is a very awesome conversion for KE20's is it bolts and is period correct and they sound sweet!! can't beat twin side drafts! 2TG's are cheap enough, although they are a very old motor and that's why I steered clear of them. Trying to find parts to rebuild it was a mission so I gave up and sold the motor in pieces to somebody else on RC Quote
MattJA Posted January 11, 2012 Report Posted January 11, 2012 yah thought you might have. i havnt even had eny luck finding a 2T so i have givin up. I'm liking the idea of a 4age on carbys. give us a shout out if you every come across a 4age and you don't need it haha Quote
Jordain Posted January 12, 2012 Author Report Posted January 12, 2012 Â Getting over the whole firewall/tunnel thing, so did abit of sticker bombing on this car to annoy some old people :) Â Â Flush with the guards.. Â Â Desired ride height, sump is around 50mm off the ground here. Â I've got abit of a problem. I need more camber. With a KE20 crossmember, Ke70 LCA to keep the bottom of the wheel under the guard and the Cambertops wound all the way in ( as close as I can get it to the tower ) there is still positive camber. The only thing I can think of is to get 40mm RCA's to re-allign the roll centre, Cold bend the struts and if that doesn't do it chop the tops of the strut tower's out and push them out to get more camber. I only want around 0 to -3 camber. Quote
