madKE35coupe Posted January 7, 2011 Author Report Posted January 7, 2011 yeah i know, would be nice to take them on a sunny day, but i don't know when that will be. i will just take some either at lunch or this arvy, whenever i get time. will try and get them up tonight Quote
madKE35coupe Posted January 13, 2011 Author Report Posted January 13, 2011 got a few spare minutes this arvy to take a few pics. i know its dirty havent had alot of time to wash it, but its getting there Quote
madKE35coupe Posted January 14, 2011 Author Report Posted January 14, 2011 i really need to change the door cards, the other coupe has white ones so might swap them over when i get a chance. also another querie, how does everyone get around the problem with speakers in the doors? if you don't use a pod it hits the window, and if you do you bash your knuckles on it every time you wind the window up or down. neverending battle i would assume? madKE35coupe Posted January 18, 2011 Author Report Posted January 18, 2011 not a big update guys bought some new battery terminals as the old ones are the crappy plastic coated ones, which i earlier found out are a bit of a pain in the ass to hook extra wires up to. Quote
madKE35coupe Posted January 27, 2011 Author Report Posted January 27, 2011 stereo is half in now. have the head unit and 6x9's wired up. need some advice on the speaker mounting for the front doors? pods the best way to go or spacers? Quote
Crowie55 Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 stereo is half in now. have the head unit and 6x9's wired up. need some advice on the speaker mounting for the front doors? pods the best way to go or spacers? Pods or spacers for the speakers. All the usual auto stores should have both. Good to hear the car going and looking great. Keep up the good work. Quote
Mason. Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 please not pods. their an eye sore (each to their own i guess) Â car looks tough man good work Quote
madKE35coupe Posted January 28, 2011 Author Report Posted January 28, 2011 yeah well the main reason i was going to swing towards spacers is because of the lack of room between the speaker and the window winder. have to do some scouting around and find the right ones Quote
jono1986 Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 Another option is to replace the whole door card with a piece of mdf and layer another layer or so where the speakers go, then glue some vinyl or what ever to cover it. Â Car looks good man, good to see other people are into the Coupes. Quote
madKE35coupe Posted January 29, 2011 Author Report Posted January 29, 2011 thanks guys, will be gettin onto those front speakers once i get an amp to power them. need to take all the crappy stickers off it too, might be a job for this weekend Quote
madKE35coupe Posted February 5, 2011 Author Report Posted February 5, 2011 just another thing i thought i would toss up, are there any benefits to installing a thermo fan? i can get a new 12 inch one pretty cheap, but does it really make much difference? we had to modify the new radiator because it was out of a KE20, so the fan shroud doesnt bolt back up, maybe just take the engine fan off and run the thermo?
