JiP Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 +1 ^^^ look at where the dash pad meets the dash? looks like a decent gap? and they look like late ke55 door trims? Late KE55 door trims have pockets in the doors Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted July 24, 2010 Report Posted July 24, 2010 Late KE55 door trims have pockets in the doors All KE55s or just the coupes? My late KE55 didn't have anything on the door cards apart from the handle and the window-winder  Quote

Taz_Rx Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 My bad. Well anything with wrap around bars then  I've got a wrap around bumper 55 and it never had pockets. That was a CS too. Quote
madKE35coupe Posted July 26, 2010 Author Report Posted July 26, 2010 i thought it looked a bit obscure? the top of the dash sticks out alot as well, from the dash on the car to the removable part....but I'm not too worried. as soon as i get the head off the future father dad in law is gona help me clean it up and whack the vrs kit in. looking forward to seeing thins thing running properly Quote
madKE35coupe Posted July 29, 2010 Author Report Posted July 29, 2010 got the head off the other night, definitely was the head gasket. ass end was blown out and there's a high spot between cylinder 2 and 3. not only that cylinder 4 4 (back cylinder, not sure if they work from front to back?) had about an inch and a half of water sloshing around in it, so is going to need a good clean before the heads back on. i was surprised how well it actually ran considering how much water was in it. madKE35coupe Posted August 1, 2010 Author Report Posted August 1, 2010 well will have to use one of the old heads from under the house.....nice little crack between cylinders 2 and 3. oh well found the problem at least! also could mods please move this thread to the my rides section? Quote
madKE35coupe Posted August 2, 2010 Author Report Posted August 2, 2010 :lolcry: thanks taz! thought it would be better suited in this forum Quote
crispyke35 Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Sweet car mate, looks like the panels are straight. wish i had something that good to start with. Quote
Kid-Ae Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Wow! That is an awesome car! :( Will be paying very close attention to this build :ninja: Quote
madKE35coupe Posted August 2, 2010 Author Report Posted August 2, 2010 Well I will keep you all updated as often as possible. Once the head is done all that's left that I know of for roady is tyres which I can get cheap enough. Any good suggestions for seat covers? As they don't have removable head rests, need to find single piece covers? Quote
madKE35coupe Posted August 6, 2010 Author Report Posted August 6, 2010 not much to update as of yet guys. waiting for the weekend so i can pick up my centerline look alike wheels, finish the head and put the vrs kit in. just looking at the supercheap catalogue atm, those chrome air filter assembly's that bolt straight onto the carb, are they any good? just thinking of tidying up the engine bay abit. but I'm assuming i would need to get those oil breather filters for the hoses that attach to the factory air filter case?
